In April 2008, the WCMA Board of Directors honored one of its own, Harrison "Hoddy" Quirk, with its special Leadership Award.  In addition to running Quirk Wire for nearly thirty years, the retiring Quirk was also generous with his time, holding leadership positions with the NEMA High Temperature Wire division and Wire Association International.  As a leader in the Wire & Cable Clubs/Wire & Cable Focus Advisory Committee in the 1990's, Quirk was able to promote outstanding educational programs at Focus (now IWCS) and at luncheon meetings.  More recently as a founding board member of WCMA, Quirk was instrumental in the incorporation of WCMA as a corporate membership organization and continues in an advisory role.
